Triton Industries fabricates metal parts for use in a variety of industries, including transportation, medical, ice production, process control, food service, and architecture. Many of our metal parts are made by welding separate components together, though the finished products may appear seamless. Ice machines, enclosures, stainless steel security products, building components, frames, and HVAC parts are a few of the items assembled in Triton’s MIG/TIG welding unit.
Achieving an attractive and structurally sound weld requires skill, technical expertise, and scientific testing to meet quality standards. At Triton Industries, our highly skilled and certified MIG/TIG welders are a key part of our turnkey metal fabrication operation. Equipped with the latest Miller computer-controlled welding machines, our welding team is American Welding Society D 1.1 qualified, and our 100,000-square-foot Chicago area facility is ISO 9001:2008 and AS 9000 registered.
MIG & TIG Welding Applications
Both MIG (metal inert gas) welding and TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding are commonly used for industrial production. Triton MIG welding utilizes a computer-controlled continuous wire feed to achieve faster, high volume production. This is the preferred technique for welding of aluminum, steel, and mild steel—especially thicker gauges. TIG welding is more suitable to thinner gauges and is used for aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and other metals. This welding technique requires specialized skill, takes more time, and is used when weld function and appearance are critical.
Triton Industries provides MIG/TIG welding for a variety of metals, and custom options are available upon request. Choose from:
- Stainless steel
- Cold-rolled steel
- Galvanized steel
- Galvannealed steel
- Hot-rolled steel
- Hot-rolled, pre-plated steel
